Vacancy: Immigration (Legal Aid) Solicitor

Location: London (office-based, with occasional tribunal attendance)

About the Role

Join our dedicated legal aid team and deliver high-quality immigration advice and representation for clients in need. You’ll handle cases related to asylum, detention appeals, deportation challenges, and human rights claims—working with a compassionate, client-first approach.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on asylum, human rights, and immigration matters

  • Represent clients in Immigration Tribunals, Detention Centre bail hearings, and Judicial Reviews

  • Draft legal documents, bundle statements, legal arguments and policies

  • Review and prepare immigration appeals, fresh claims, and human rights cases

  • Maintain accurate case management and monitor deadlines

  • Uphold quality and ethical standards required by SRA and Legal Aid Agency

Eligibility Criteria

  • Solicitor or barrister with experience in immigration and asylum law

  • Legal Aid qualifications and Good Standing (e.g. OISC Level 2/3 or equivalent)

  • Tribunal and judicial review experience preferred

  • Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills

  • Compassionate client support and communication

  • Eligible to work in the UK (eligible for SRA and Legal Aid compliance)
